Welcome Brothers of Theta Chi, Delta Chi Chapter

The purpose of this blog is for the brothers of Theta Chi from Lenoir-Rhyne College from the years of about 1969 through 1975 to reunite. This will be an opportunity to renew relationships from some of the best years of our lives.

So, welcome to the blog. Leave some comments and let us know what is going on with you. Let's see if this catches on.

Hi All
Thanks Mickey-This looks great. I spoke with Tod this evening and he had gotten an up-date from the doctor this week. It appears that the chemo is working since the nodes have gotten smaller. Great News
I also heard that George Mauney had called Tod and that George had been in a car accident. Has some neck problems. So we need to think about both Tod and George. Getting older is tough, huh?

Hi Brothers I hope that I am not stepping on any toes by commenting, but my name is Adam Wilson and I am the current President of Theta Chi at LRC. We heard about Todd and sent him a card. Our hearts are with him.

I would love to give an update on the Fraternity if guys are interested. I know that our chapter has seen some rough days in the past and some feelings of resentment have been passed along. But, the fraternity has done a complete 180. We received the national award for the most improved chapter in 2004.

As of this coming FAll, the chapter will be out of debt completely and will actually be working with a budget for the first time in quite a few years.

Our GPA has risen substantially as we continue to have brothers on the President and Dean's list each semester.

We have continued the tradition of dominant Intramural teams as we have won the President's cup three consecutive years winning championships in football, 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 basketball, softball, soccer, and Greek field day.

We still work very closely with St. Jude's Trail Ride each October as well as host multiple Blood Drives for American Red Cross.

Our brother's have been exceling across campus receiving recognition and awards.

As a whole we feel that we are placing Theta Chi back in the lime light that many of you left it in. Building relationships with our alumni especially those who left it better than they found it like so many of you did. We are planning to have alumni come in this winter for a social and innitiation. With the help of Sonny Carter a local alumni of the chapter who hope that many of you will choose to attend.

Please if anyone would like to ask me any questions or would just like to say hello. My e-mail is wilsonah@lrc.edu and my phone number is 828-289-9888. Feel free to contact me with any concerns as well. We want to build our fraternity stronger with your help.
